From 14 to 18 December 2025, policymakers, academics, and agricultural experts from Southeast Europe participated in an Exposure Visit to Brussels organized within the framework of the Agricultural Policy Dialogue Germany – Southeast Europe (APD SEE). The visit focused on strengthening regional capacities and dialogue in support of EU integration processes.
A central part of the programme was participation in the EU Agri-Food Days and Outlook Conference 2025, where participants followed high-level discussions on food security, innovation, climate change adaptation, and the future direction of the EU Common Agricultural Policy. In addition, dedicated meetings with representatives of the European Commission, including DG AGRI, DG ENEST, and DG SANTE, provided in-depth insights into current policy priorities, enlargement perspectives, and practical experiences from the EU level.
The visit also enabled valuable exchanges among participants from the region, fostering cooperation and the sharing of experiences related to accession preparation and policy reform. Informal networking events further strengthened professional links with EU institutions and stakeholders.
This activity was supported by The Agricultural Policy Dialogue Germany – South East Europe, a multilateral cooperation project of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity (BMLEH), implemented within the framework of Bilateral Cooperation.
