On 21 May 2026, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Republika Srpska in cooperation with SWG RRD, organised the first National Training Workshop for Extension and Advisory Services in Banja Luka.
The event brought together 32 participants from advisory and extension services to strengthen knowledge on climate change adaptation in agriculture. The training covered key topics including soil and water management, climate-resilient crop production, livestock adaptation, and agroeconomics. Delivered by experts from the University of Banja Luka and the University of Sarajevo, the workshop supported the use of the Training Manual for agricultural extension and advisory services – Adaptation to Climate Change in Agriculture and contributed to building stronger, more resilient agricultural advisory services in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The activity is implemented within the framework of the regional project “Green Agenda for the Western Balkans – Support to the Western Balkan Countries in Climate Change Adaptation”, funded by the German Government through the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development BMZ and implemented by GIZ in partnership with Standing Working Group for Regional Rural Development (SWG RRD).
