The Third National Workshop on Integrating Climate Change Adaptation into Agricultural Policy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, held on 30–31 March 2026 in Teslic, brought together representatives of the sectoral ministries, academic experts, and key stakeholders to advance the development of Guidelines for Increasing the Resilience of Agriculture to Climate Change. The event was organised by SWG in cooperation with the Ministries of Agriculture of Republika Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The workshop focused on three strategic priorities: the sustainable use of natural resources, strengthening the resilience of agricultural production, and improving institutional capacities. Through expert presentations and interactive group work, participants identified priority measures, responsibilities, timelines, and monitoring indicators needed to support climate-resilient agricultural development.
Key conclusions highlighted the importance of improved soil and water management, biodiversity-friendly practices, climate-smart technologies, stronger early warning systems, and enhanced inter-institutional coordination. The outcomes will serve as a strong basis for drafting harmonised national guidelines to strengthen the resilience of agriculture in Bosnia and Herzegovina to climate change.
