The Capacity building: Using digital sales channels/Booking, Airbnb, TripAdvisor for service providers from the Western Balkans organized in Shkoder, Albania in a period 8-10 May, 2023.
Main goals of the training:
- To learn how to use and optimize channels on modern booking engines.
- To learn all useful functionalities of booking engines for MSMEs and automation systems in the travel industry.
- To learn how to create content that points out the best about their business.
- To learn how to respond to reviews and maintain a good relationship with guests.
After the introductory speech conducted by Ms. Etleva Thimo, Regional Coordinator on behalf the SWG, the SWG external expert – Mrs. Andjela Djokic, the coach of the training presented to the participants the digital marketing in rural tourism, theory and practice so that they can improve their business performances.
During the training, the coach presented the modern market approach through platforms Booking.com, Airbnb and TripAdvisor, explained the functionalities and importance of content creation on these platforms, which can help better B2C communication and improve the number of direct bookings through the abovementioned engines.
Within the two-day training nineteen participants had an opportunity to learn more about using digital sales channels/Booking, Airbnb, TripAdvisor. Also, they had the opportunity to create, improve and present the good and not so good examples of booking profiles. Further improvements and advice were shared with all of them.
