Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was officially signed between Standing Working Group for Regional Rural Development (SWG) in SEE, and International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM), marking an important milestone in strengthening regional and international cooperation.
This partnership enables observer participation in meetings and conferences, the establishment of an SWG Hub for the Western Balkans and Moldova within the CIHEAM reintegration framework, and the exchange of knowledge and expertise. It also supports joint educational activities, international development cooperation, shared participation in projects, staff exchanges, and coordinated project planning and implementation.
As an International Intergovernmental Organization, SWG serves as a platform for regional cooperation in agriculture, food systems, rural and economic development, and agri-food trade in South Eastern Europe.
CIHEAM, as a platform for political dialogue, applies a strong operational and results-oriented approach to regional cooperation, promoting intergovernmental, inter-parliamentary, and business collaboration.
