Workshops dedicated to food presentation and matching with wines, Dihovo, North Macedonia


In the period 05-07 April, 2022, in Dihovo, Bitola, Culinary training “Upgrading of food and beverage presentation in rural tourism facilities” has been organized. The training is supported within the Project: Promotion of Economic Diversification in Rural Areas of South-Eastern Europe (SEDRA II) in SEE – Value chain capacity building on agriculture and rural tourism to promote employment opportunities supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and GIZ North Macedonia and implemented by the SWG RRD.

Within the two-day training seventeen participants had an opportunity to learn more about guide for the current legislation and administrative procedures in rural tourism in North Macedonia, added values, storytelling, paring food and beverage, safety standards of preparing food, calculation of meals/food/normative.

Through active participation the participants learned how to present, how to improve the offer, more about the importance of safety standards in preparing of food, and the importance of storytelling in rural tourism.

Also, through practical work – cooking classes the participants had the opportunity to work with professional chefs and to upgrade their knowledge on preparing food.
