Mid-Term Conference “Rural and Regional Realities in Motion: Territoriality, Temporality, and Technology”, 3–6 September 2025
Rural and regional areas are central to understanding Europe’s social and economic shifts. As certain regions feel ‘left behind,’ it’s important to address the inequalities shaped by market dynamics, spatial labor divisions, and digital gaps within the EU. This theme focuses on how rural and remote areas adapt to broader transformations—social, technological, and environmental. It encourages critical, interdisciplinary perspectives to explore the unique challenges and opportunities in these regions.
Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania, Crete (Greece) welcome theoretical, empirical, and methodological contributions that shed light on rural change and innovation.
