Agricultural Cooperative Tarevci organized the 14th Fair of Rural Creativity in the village Tarevci, Modrica, Republic of Srpska, B&H, where representative of agricultural cooperative, citizens’ associations, entrepreneurs and individuals exhibit their products.
The Fair brought together over 40 exhibitors from B&H, Serbia and Croatia contributing to the organization of the Fair. In addition to the exhibition part, the program of the fair was accompanied with traditional folklore dance, presentation of the projects implemented by the Agricultural Cooperative Tarevci and the presentation of the sponsors of this year’s International Fair of Rural Creativity.
Agricultural Cooperative Tarevci gather 138 members since its foundation in 2004. The cooperative was established with the aim of creating institutional support for returnee agricultural producers to rebuild their agricultural households. The cooperative currently grows strawberries outdoor and in the greenhouses where 32,000 perennial strawberry seedlings are planted in four greenhouses.
People to People event is supported by the project: “Promotion of Economic Diversification of Rural Areas in Southeast Europe (SEDRA II) in SEE- Value chain capacity building on agriculture and rural tourism to promote rural employment opportunities” implemented in partnership by Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG RRD) and GIZ.
