The aim of “Analysis of the agricultural and rural development policies in Western Balkan countries” was to provide up to date analysis of the characteristics of the agriculture policy instruments applied in Western Balkan (WB) countries and highlight the possible effects of agriculture and rural development policies harmonization of the WB countries with the CAP 2014-2020 on food and farming sector in the rural areas.
The main objectives of the study were:
- Analyze the impact of the national agriculture and rural development policies of Western Balkan countries and provide recommendations for their compliance with agriculture and rural development related policies of the EU;
- Provide a cross-country analysis of the national policy instruments and their effects on food/ farming sector on WB rural areas;
- Provide an analysis on the state of harmonization of agriculture and rural development policies of the Western Balkan countries with the CAP 2014-2020 on food/ farming sector.
This project was funded by the European Union through the Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS) of the Joint Research Centre.
