By showcasing Blanca Chees as significant and healthy product characterized of the geographical area, the event contributes to the promotion of regional identity and heritage. Since Blatnica Cheese is part of the tourist offer of the Municipality of Teslic events like these can attract visitors interested in experiencing local flavors and traditions, thereby boosting tourism and supporting local economies.

This delicacy belongs to the group of soft, white cheeses, and in production in addition to cow milk, it is used sheep and goat milk or a mixture. Due to market requirements and easier storage, as well as durability it is produced as semi-hard cheese, dried and smoked with various spices. For production of 1 kg of mature cheese consumes around 8l of cow milk and 5-6l of sheep or goat milk.

The activity is supported within the Project: Promotion of Economic Diversification in Rural Areas of South-Eastern Europe (SEDRA II) in SEE – Value chain capacity building on agriculture and rural tourism to promote employment opportunities supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and implemented by GIZ in partnership with SWG RRD.
