Regional event Golden Hands of Zlatar promotes traditional food and artisan products from Zlatar region.
During the event representatives of local and regional associations, individual agricultural producers and entrepreneurs exhibit their products: Association of Berry Fruit Producers “Zlatni Breg”, Women Association “Old Crafts for the New Age”, Beekeepers Association “Zlatarka”, Association of Zlatar Cheese Producers, Association of Livestock Breeders “Uvacka Reka mleka”, Original Srbija promoting products with protected geographical origin, Zlakusa pottery crafts and others.
Education of agricultural producers organized in the scope of the event emphasized importance and use of agricultural products with added value, diversification of rural economy in accordance with the compatible advantages of the territory, creation of income based on specific product (protection, branding and product placement), and networking which will lead to stabilization of the income in agriculture, increasing the competitiveness of the offer of farmers from Zlatar area.
People to People event is supported by the project: “Promotion of Economic Diversification of Rural Areas in Southeast Europe (SEDRA II) in SEE- Value chain capacity building on agriculture and rural tourism to promote rural employment opportunities” implemented in partnership by Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG RRD) and GIZ.
