Women AgriFair organized in a scope of the International Day of Rural Women emphasizing their importance and contribution to rural development in the WB region.
Association for Rural Development LAG AGRO LIDER organized Fair of Organic Products where local and regional exhibitors, especially women farmers from rural areas were selling a wide variety of organic products, including fruits and vegetables, dairy products, pastries, natural body care products, handmade accessories, paintings, knitted toys.
The fair took place in one of the city squares areas in Prilep, North Macedonia where the exhibitors set up their stands. Live music and educational workshop for children during the event were organized. The fair was directly linked to the development, promotion, and sales of products coming from rural areas, where the locals learned about the benefits of organic farming, met the farmers and the producers, and supported local economy by buying their products.
This activity is supported by the project: “Promotion of Economic Diversification of Rural Areas in Southeast Europe (SEDRA II) in SEE- Value chain capacity building on agriculture and rural tourism to streamline rural employment opportunities” implemented in partnership by GIZ and SWG.
