Meeting of the REAWG on Sustainable Forest Management organized on the Mountain Goc, at the Educational and Training Center of the Forestry Faculty in Belgrade.
The focus of the meeting was on building capacity for cooperation in the efforts of implementing a Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) in the Western Balkans: Practical implementation of guidelines in particular for High Mixed beech forests and High mixed pine forests.
During the practical work innovative way of tree marking was presented on demonstration plots using modern technologies which is in the line with traditional way of tree marking.
All participants agreed that continuous sustainable education is needed with possible exchange of different programs among WB6.
Second Interim Meeting of the Regional Expert Advisory Working Group on Sustainable Forest Management in the Western Balkans (REAWG) is organized as part of the Agricultural Policy Dialogue Germany – Western Balkans.
