People to People event “Other possibilities for a sustainable development” is organized by ADAD Malore – Organization of Agriculture Development in Mountainous Regions from Albania. The organization coordinates experiences, knowledge and innovation by generalizing them for its members and other interested producers.
The activity included training and filed visit to increase the management ability of business related to agriculture and rural development such as agricultural producers, agro-processing enterprises, agro-tourism and promote products in rural areas, make their businesses more efficient by using best practices and new innovative technologies, promoting the value of products as well as diversifying and add value to their products and business.
Farmers from Albania learned more about:
🟢 Economic analysis of the farm by making a balance of expenses and income. Evaluation of the financial activity and effectiveness of the farm.
🟢 New technologies in agriculture and farm processes. Familiarity with the latest technology and new varieties. Provide information to farmers to familiarize towards the market and knowledge of new innovative technologies in order to increase their income.
🟢 Business opportunities development in rural areas for open calls, national schemes, or European programs such as IPARD, etc.
Participants visited Mr. Vehip Salkurti, owner of the Fruit farm covering area of 7.2 ha in the village Rrashnapoje, Dibër District, Albania.
People to People event is supported by the project: “Promotion of Economic Diversification of Rural Areas in Southeast Europe (SEDRA II) in SEE- Value chain capacity building on agriculture and rural tourism to promote rural employment opportunities” implemented in partnership by Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG RRD) and GIZ.
