To foster growth and innovation of rural areas in the Mediterranean a kick-off meeting of the REVIVE project partners was held from 7-8 February, 2024 in Larnaca, Cyprus. Hosted by the Lead partner Larnaca & Famagusta Districts Development Agency in supervision of the Interreg Euro-MED Programme, the first meeting marked the official begging of the project activities.
REVIVE Project main objective is to implement innovative solutions for a sustainable economy with the aim of accelerating the transition towards competitive, sustainable and resilient ecosystems in the internal areas of the Mediterranean Regions.
Through the meeting, project partners had a chance to present their organization, pilot areas and to network. Presentation of the Thematic Community Project of the Interreg Euro-MED Programme Innovative Sustainable Economy (ISE) Mission was conducted, the Mission that the REVIVE project is part of. The Kick-off meeting clarified main issues referring to duties of the Lead partner and the partners as well as the key tools that will be used during the lifetime of the project, establishment of Project Steering Group, implementation of activities within Action plan, and communication activities.
Guided tour in the botanical garden and distillation Lumina botanical gardens highlighted our gathering in beautiful Larnaca.
