The Regional Gastronomic Fair in Strpce showcased the rich culinary heritage of the WB region


The Tourism and Agriculture Development Fund – Štrpce/Shtërpce delightedly welcomed guests to the Regional Gastronomic Fair on April 18th, 2024, held at the charming Lipa Restaurant in Štrpce/Shtërpce. The fair aimed to showcase and celebrate the diverse gastronomic traditions of the region while emphasizing the importance of preserving cultural heritage and promoting healthy regional cuisine. 

The highlight of the event was the ceremonial opening of the Tourist Information Center, symbolizing a significant step forward in the region’s tourism infrastructure. Attendees were treated to a lively performance by the local Cultural and Artistic Society, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the fair. Representatives from SWG, UNDP, EU, and the municipality conveyed their greetings, reaffirming their commitment to the region’s development and cultural preservation.

Throughout the day, guests had the opportunity to explore the fair, sampling regional delicacies and interacting with local artisans and producers. The event served as a testament to the rich cultural heritage and natural beauty of the municipality of Štrpce/Shtërpce, reinforcing its position as a destination for cultural and gastronomic enthusiasts alike. Overall, the Regional Gastronomic Fair and Tourist Information Center opening successfully highlighted the region’s culinary treasures and underscored the importance of sustainable tourism development.
