Advanced Training Program for Rural Women Entrepreneurs

From November 6 to 8, 2024, in Brčko, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Standing Working Group for Regional Rural Development in Southeastern Europe organized an advanced training session titled “Development of Rural Businesses using Online Tools for Promotion and Sales.” This event was part of the project “Promoting Economic Diversification in Rural Areas of Southeast Europe (SEDRA II) – Building the Capacity of Value Chains in Agriculture and Rural Tourism through Promoting Employment Opportunities.”

Twenty rural women entrepreneurs who own or manage rural businesses participated in the workshop. The training focused on enhancing rural businesses through online tools and intermediary platforms for product promotion, market access, and sales. The program included theoretical and practical components, emphasizing establishing digital marketing goals and developing an ideal customer profile. The final segment of the training was dedicated to creating individual plans for managing social media access and content publishing.

The participants gained valuable practical knowledge to improve their business operations through online business development tools.
